I go 6'7" in boots, and not really interested in doing Vader but wanted an impressive armored character.

Yeah I know... the clones weren't 6'7"... Confused Razz

Still gathering ideas.

Without making this a WTB post, are there any resources out there regarding where people go to buy the clone armor pieces or buckets? Do they come in black or do most people paint theirs? Also, how do most people attach the plastic parts to the under armor suit?

Thanks!

Oh yeah just to keep this on-topic... I'll be posting some pix from this weekend's Annandale parade and Smithsonian Air & Scare event hopefully by Sunday! Very Happy

Bill,

You can try one of these sites or I've seen some on Ebay. Your best bet might be to check out some of the garrison forums. Most of the 501st guys I have trooped with use the white ABS and then paint it either black, red, etc. As far as attaching it, they use straps or rivets to hold the armor in place. It's not really attached "to" the undersuit more like strapped to. The 501st is pretty tight lipped about selling armor if you not already a member. They also do armor parties from time to time where they help out newbies make their new armor.
