Okay, so I have recently found some new information regarding this costume. In the new Star Wars Adventures comics, Padme is seen in issue 12 wearing this costume with a different hairstyle!!
Here are a few other reference shots I gathered from the comic:
If we agree, I'd like to add this hairstyle as an option. I will be updating what I first posted, and put it here once more so everyone can see the final draft before its put forward!
Also I found a quick tutorial on very similar to this hair!

Nice find! I think we can safely call that an "alternate configuration."
It looks like everything stays the same except the hair, although the gauntlets, at least at a distance, look simpler. Should that be an alternate version as well?

I had thought about that, but from what I can tell the only difference in those is there is no piping down the front. I personally don’t think that’d be enough of a difference to warrant an alternate version, since it’d be just one step changed. If others disagree though, I’d be happy to add it in!

Character Description
Padmé Amidala Naberrie, commonly known as Padmé Amidala, was a human female politician who became a leading voice for peace and diplomacy during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Amidala was elected Queen of Naboo at the age of fourteen. Rising to galactic prominence after the Trade Federation invaded and occupied her homeworld of Naboo, she emerged as a leading member of the Galactic Senate during the Clone Wars.
