Is there anywhere, in any book or even word of mouth from onset people, who know what the original costume was made with? I'd swear it was super lightweight leather from the way the fabric folds around, but I don't know and would like to hear from anyone who does.
I ask because I have some really nice leather that I've been saving for Ewok Village dress remake, but would love to make the Mustafar top with it as well. I think there's enough to do both, too. Leather is generally a one shot at sewing sort of thing, and I didn't want to waste it, if I'm wrong about this.
Any thoughts appreciated! _________________ One mean, green-eyed fitch. |

Thanks!!! I had also contacted a FB friend who also said this as well. I think my material is suede, but I'll double check. Thanks again! _________________ One mean, green-eyed fitch. |

You could probably do it in goat/sheep hide or maybe even pig skin (suede side) although this doesn't have the pattern found in pig skin. It's much more even and plain.
People use a variety of suede fabrics for making this, but I think most use fake suedes, not leather. Moleskin is a popular choice as well. _________________
