Based on the alterations that the CS team made to my proposal last year, a few things I've noticed about the costume since, and the new CS guidelines, I've revised the Star Forge Revan standards. Just the text for now, but I'll hunt down appropriate photos tomorrow.

Tunic/Robe
-Ankle length tunic of a cream/off-white colour with a visible weave.
-Slightly flared skirt, which may be gathered at the waist for additional fullness. If waist seam is present, it should be hidden beneath the chestpiece.
-Long, moderately loose sleeves.
-No visible closures.
-High collar around neck.
Mantle and hood
-Same material as tunic.
-Mantle and hood may be one combined piece or two separate garment pieces.
-Lower mantle section is under chestpiece and covers shoulders to just above armpit level. At the front, blouses slightly over the top of the chestpiece bib.
-Upper mantle section is flush with the base of the tunic collar at the neck and just covers the shoulder straps from the chestpiece.
-When folded down, hood should lie across the shoulders and come to a point at roughly mid-back length.
-No obvious closures.
Chestpiece
-Leather or leather-like medium brown vest chestpiece, in varying shades of medium brown.
-Vest should have accurate geometric ‘patchwork’ seams. Main portion of vest should be a tube-top shape, extending from waist/hips to armpit height.
-Square bib-like portion of vest in the centre front of the vest, made of several layers of leather or leather-like material, extending over the top of the main chest piece. Bib portion has one vertical silver metallic clasp and one silver o-ring on each side.
-Two shoulder straps fasten to the edges of the bib portion. Straps should be roughly 1″-1.5″ (2.5-4 cm) wide.
-No visible closures.
Optional:
-The thicker sections at the edges of the bib portion form pouches, fastened by the silver clasps.
Belt
-Belt made of layers of leather or leather-like material in various shades of medium brown.
-The centre front of the belt is two concentric circles roughly 2.5″ and 4″ (6.5 and 10 cm) in diameter, connecting to an approximately 4″ (10cm) wide belt by narrow strips of leather/leather-like material.
-The wider belt portion has multiple layers and has two silver metallic slide buckles on each side.
-Belt goes underneath/through chestpiece at the back. It is only visible at the front and sides of the chestpiece.
Optional:
-Belt is functional, fastening with the metallic slide buckles.
Bracers
-Fitted leather or leather-like bracers in medium-brown colour extending from wrist to just below elbow.
-The top of the arm should be a slightly brighter/lighter brown than the under-arm section of the bracers.
-Trapezoidal hand guards made of leather or leather-like material matching the bracers. They should cover the cover the glove from wrist to knuckles and attach without visible hardware.
Optional
-Bracers may have decorative etched lines on the over-arm section of the bracer near the wrists and along the outside edge, similar to decoration on the chestpiece bib.
-Handplates may have decorative etched lines, echoing the shapes created by the belt and chestpiece in the at the side of the abdomen.
Gloves
-Plain black or dark brown gloves. Skin should not be visible.
Boots
-Medium brown boots reaching above the ankles.
-No laces, buckles, or straps permitted. If zippers are present, they should be subtle and on the inside of the leg.
-Low-heeled, 1 – 1 1/2 inches maximum. Spike heels are not permitted.
Optional Items:
Lightsaber
-No toy lightsabers are permitted (or Ultimate FX short saber).
-The lightsaber may be a static prop (hilt only). Attached blade, LED lights and sound effects are allowed, but not required.
-Metal hilt or custom fabricated lightsaber hilt painted to resemble metal.
-Blade colours accepted are: Purple, blue, yellow, or green blade.
-No movie-era “hero” lightsabers of face characters may be used.
-May carry one or two standard lightsabers or a single double-bladed lightsaber.
Mask
-KOTOR style Revan mask, extending from top of head to no more than just below chin.
-Dark grey and red rust colour scheme.
-Dark visor.
-If worn, a black balaclava must be worn underneath, and the hood of the costume must be raised. |
