Endor Leia Poncho Build [Update 2018-05-07: Colour Check]

Decided to turn this thread into a general build thread. Would love any input on new updates below as I work on my Endor Leia.

I am unsure if this is a place I can even get a response but could a judge clarify something about the hood? The costume standard states:

The hood is closed at the neck with an oval-shaped frame around the face.

Can this oval have a seam or does it need to be a continuous piece of fabric? The costume standard does not state that the oval has to be a continuous shape but I would hate to go through all the time of making my poncho only for it to be rejected because it has a 3" seam at the top.

Not sure if this will help but I was approved with a seam on that portion of the costume. I basically cut a long oval and stitched it together and attached it to the hood which I then attached to the poncho itself.

Here is what my pattern currently looks like and where the seam would be in red. It would only be visible if you went looking for it since you 1) Wouldnt wear it up. and 2) the hood flops around and folds naturally.

Ideally there is no seam on the donut/oval per screen references.

Also if it helps for this costume I cut my hood singe layer and made my donut double layer to help hide the extra fabric which I think is how it was done based on the references I found.
