Thanks everyone!
Welp. Cause it wouldn't be Riva and it wouldn't be me if everything wasn't a little extra. So I realized just a minute ago that I donked up the hood. It should have a center panel not a center seam. I think I can insert it buy opening up the center seam and where it attaches to the collar. But it's going to be an ordeal. But whats one more delay?! |

Hood drama resolved! Center panel inserted. Its not as neat and tidy as I usually require in my work. But I'll get over it (or redo it in 6 months. lol)

Cruising right along. Got some final details done.
- belt loops
- hose connector holder on the arm
- tabs on the pockets (I almost forgot about these entirely!)
Last bit before weathering will be to put the lettering on the ID badge.

Thank you! I really do love details. It's where all the interesting and most maddening "why would they do it that way". Keeps me entertained.

Done and submitted! Fingers crossed I got it all right. I'm pretty satisfied. I mean I'm always tinkering with my costumes so nothing is ever really done. But feeling pretty great.

See! I told you I was always tinkering. Tonight I took in the shoulders. I left them wide because in a lot of reference photos including Riva the shoulder seam hung off the shoulder. But I felt frumpy and it didn't fit as well as I liked. So tore open the shoulders and took everything in. So much better! Kinda hard to tell in the pic and my face is ridiculous but phew, so much better.

Question! Not at all sure where to post this so hopefully someone will see this. What, if anything, should I do about standards for this costume? Should I write them. Does that seem useful? How does the process in RAID work? |
