I tried to come up with a witty pun for a title and failed. Rolling Eyes

Anyways, where's the best place to find X-Wing pilot chest box hose and whatever the little attachment on the end is?

Hardware store. It's usually called a dishwasher discharge hose, I was just looking at some on Thurs at my local Lowes.

Get the plasticy kind, not the rubbery kind.

For the "attachment on the end", are you talking about that 90° section where it "attaches" to the flight suit? Not sure, I forgot to look at parts for electrical conduits when I was at Lowes, since that stuff is usually already gray.

There are some that come with it already on the hose. I think if not it is available and I think it should be black on the elbow side.

I just used a PVC elbow. Screws right onto the end of the hose.

On the street corner!

Ok sorry. Had to.

But yeah mine came from Lowes in a little plastic bag. Dishwasher drain hose. It was less than 10.00 and came with the elbow on it. I glued an earthmagnet in the hole of the elbow and used a larger earth magnet in the back to hold it. Until I lost the larger earth magnet :/

Thanks Crystal:

That made me laugh.

Anyways, mine is a bit convoluted. I too did the dishwasher drain hose, then I screwed the hose (no comments, Crystal!) into a black connector. I epoxyed a washer into the open end of the connector; then epoxyed half of a two part snap to the washer. The second part of the metal snap was attached to my jumpsuit. A thin strip of velcro wraps around the bottom of the hose connector, which gives the illusion of the hose being inside the jumpsuit.

It's works really well, as I've never had the snaps disconnect on me.

I too subscribe to the drain hose/magnet combo.. and it was a whole year before I lost the magnet that goes on the inside of my jumpsuit... Still not sure how I lost it since it tuck my jumpsuit into my boots. I guess I just absorbed the darn thing..

that could explain some of my new animal magnetism.

;-)

Where does one get rare earth magnets (other than ebay)?

I've liked the washer and magnet idea since I first heard about it a couple years ago, and plan to use it for mine. I was thinking of sewing the magnet on the inside of the suit with some scrap material, once I've decided where I want it to be, so I won't lose it.

Hmm, I upon doing a search, I see that Radio Shack has a 2 pack of rare earth magnets for $1.99.

Lowes ho(se)?

Yeah, that's where mine came from too with a PVC 90 elbow at the end. I started using rare earth magnets to keep it connected to my flight suit, but without messing up my flightsuit with extra stitching or nasty glue, it wasn't working. Now I just tuck the hoes under the belt.

Thanks, but I'd rather find some where I can just walk into a store and get them and not have to pay shipping charges.

Look for some of those dollar store magnetic picture holders. They have really strong magnets on them.
