Hello all

So since my first lightsaber is on my way, and my Endor Leia is almost done, i'm already thinking on my next costume.

And i would really love to make a Leia Jedi, i have done some research and i have decided on Leia from the Infinities Empire Strikes Back series.

This is after the Hoth Battle, Luke dies, and Leia goes to Dagobah to train as a jedi.

On the lightsaber is a simple silver hilt and purple blade and then in the 4th issue blue blade the cristal that she found, probably similar to lukes, the hilt saber i bought is the Saberforge Princess, and later on i'll add light and sound, but it has a simple design and color.

The Jedi robes aren't difficult:
- White Outer Tunic
- White Pants
- Brown Obi
- Brown rope wrapped twice around her waist
- Blue tabbards with some stone/pebbles designs
- And similar Hoth Boots

I'll need the judges help in some of my questions, regarding the boots.

I'll post reference pics bellow

As you can see her clothes are not that difficult, her hair is a ponytail with some hair loose on the front.

I'm excited to see your progress on this! I have short hair, so I wound up using a clip-on ponytail. It looks like her style changes quite a bit, whether she has a hair binder on the ponytail, or a braid around the base of the ponytail, or nothing at all.

You could approach the boots a few ways, maybe some leather with a cover for the trim.

Also saw one of these at a shop the other day, and though it may be too thick, something like this to match the boot colours:

Thanks for posting this thread! I know we were discussing this costume and I am glad someone is working on it. I should be starting mine in a month or so. Perhaps we can bounce ideas between each other?

these look similar to Luke ESB boots.
I used a pair of old shoes. I covered the entire shoe in brown suede, using contact cement.
then made the 'uppers' from simple rectangles.
there was no stitching, it's ALL done with contact cement and folded-layers of suede.

Thanks for sharing the shoes. Thatís brilliant!

For the tabards I havenít figured out
1) shade of blue - dark or light because itís different shades in different panels
2) how to make that pattern - should I embroider if? Trace it in glue and then dye it like batik? Make a cutout and then overlay it?

Man, I havenít been this stuck on a project for awhile.

If if helps at all, I documented all of the different markers and dyes I used to make my pebble pattern in my build thread here: http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63185

I think there's a lot of ways to do the pattern on the costume, so whatever feels best for you to capture the design.
