Hello !

I'm starting to work on Duchess Satine (pink and green) and was wondering the best thing to use for the gold belt buckle !

Worbla or Sculpey !

It depends for which part. The golden circle might be quite big and too thin to make in Sculptey. But would not be too problematic with worbla. However, the stones would for sure be the best with sculptey (never used this brand but seems to be something similar to fimo) as you can have some clay directly the right color and with adequate stone effect Smile
I think probably I would personally cut the gold ring in some hard plastic I think (plexiglass ?) and glue stones made of sculpted on it. Or I would just 3D print it ^^'

Sure, as long as you get the right finish on it. Smile We are not too particular about how you get there, just that the end result looks right. Sometimes that means using a certain material, other times you can use a variety and still get the same/right result.

Worbla, sculpey, 3D printing... whatever works.

With the size of those pieces, you're going to want to prioritize keeping it light, otherwise it will be hard to attach.

For the thin 'wire' bits around the side and back, you probably should actually build them around a wire base (with Worbla) to keep them sturdy and keep them from breaking.

A nice technique for the stones, is that you may be able to find rhinestones in the shape you want at craft stores or online. You can color them to the color you want with either sharpies or stained glass paint.
