ATTENTION ALL REBEL LEGION MEMBER
Please read this new policy regarding the use of photography at events in our changing rooms/areas, green rooms, etc.

Commanders,

We had an issue come up at joint events in one of our Base's areas and involves photography in the changing areas for our groups. While, it appears nothing was down untoward, the best practice is to create a "no photography zone" in changing areas and green rooms.

This policy prevents the taking of an unwanted photo of someone in various degrees of dress. This area is designed for people to change and relax out of full costume not to weary of cameras from their fellow costumers.

It is so easy for us to snap a picture in these areas to capture a moment with friends or just picture of a costume part. However, the issue is what is in the background of these pictures. Accidents could cause a lot issues as many people do mobile uploads from phones without really screening the photos, especially when we are sharing a changing area with other groups.

Also, this allows people who want to abuse photography and use it inappropriate ways have access to our community. This prevents the temptation, especially if in some cases we have minors with Galactic Academy/Verdika Corps, of taking an innocent quick picture. We are the leaders in our costuming communities and the standards we set will be the standard and respected.

Thanks,

--Bill
