it appears there are more than one of these A wing helmets. Notice the body coloring and visor is the same as Tallie's but it is clear it has the yellow/black checkering like the x wing helmets.

I think that's correct, and that's fine with me! A group of costumers locally did a Resistance X-Wing group build and repainted a bunch of Poe Black Series helmets to make generic pilot helmets, then each pilot added their own unique markings and such. I'm hoping to do that same thing with my helmet.

The one thing that seems to be the same between the two helmets, and may be used as the "base" or standard coloring, is that the lower/side section is painted red with yellow/black "Caution" striping around the bottom. The central white section seems to be the area where you'd customize your helmet!

There are no public photos of the back of this costume, that I can find. Have any judges weighed in on if this costume is approvable? I am very interested in making it but the lack of reference is concerning as far as approval goes.

Grenaidan,
Were you able to gt one of these helmets?

This post is also in the TLJ Rebel Pilot sub forum, but figured I'd post it here to keep everything in one place. A user found a 3D designer and had them print a Resistance A-Wing helmet, it looks VERY promising:

I was denied my Tallie Lintra application due to lack of reference photos, but I am compiling costume references from gunners, ground crew, and A-Wing pilots that all have similar suit and vest construction. I will be submitting my generic A-Wing pilot again soon and I will update!

i know trust action figures isn't always safe, but it helps sometimes to see the missing details, and action figures get more and more acurate.

Can I ask what images or batch of images you used for approval? I put together this album, which has every image I believe exists of the Resistance A-Wing pilot. Is that not sufficient? https://imgur.com/a/XwVGS

Approved Resistance A-Wing pilots, what did you use for image references for your submission?

I also have a few more pics on my album. We found a total of 4 different helmet paint schemes.

Might be best to combine them into one. Then sticky it!

The major issue with the submission was the rear view of Tallie's vest. Only one of the shuttle pilots have the same shortened vest. Here are the images I used to get Jynger's submission thru.

It's a round about way to get the vest approved, but at least it happened.

I found a couple more screen caps that show the back of the A wing pilots vest.

Check out the black and gold helmeted version in the hallway and the one of the guy jumping into the A wing just before he blows up...
