Alrighty, got my latch hook in the mail yestrday, so now all I have to do is make the net suit and I can get to hairing! I decided to get my feet from Bacca9 after a failed attempt at making my own feets

they were too big and the foam wasnt rigid enough to carve

I'll be following your build. I can walk on stilts most of the time, but not for very long before my knees and hips start to have problems. So if the CRL ends up with a generic youngling, I am going to build one for sure end of next year.

My advice on the body suit is to build it as a either a shirt and a pair of pants or a shirt and a pair of chaps.

The mesh fabric has little or no elasticity to it, so splitting the suit up until multiple overlapping garmets allows greater freedom of movement. You can bend over, kneel and squat, with getting a wedgie.

You'll want to do the same thing in other parts of the suit. Run the sleeves so it goes to your knuckles, but make gloves that cover your hand and forearms.
Make sure the hair coming off the bottom of your mask is long enough to cover everything, especially the back of your neck as you will spend a lot of time looking down at kids.
Same goes for the ankles. Mine go down to cover the tops of my boots, but my boots and feed are covered with hair up to the ankles.

I may have missed it but are you doing anything to straighten the hair prior to latching it?

@badbrad, no I havent straightened any of the hair, I was told that straightening makes the hair too slick and way too shiney!

@GotWookiee, I was going for a one peice as it would have a better transition between the legs and torso, but I didnt think about the fact that I may be uncomfortable and hard to move in! Maybe ill get another pattern then. How long should the hair in the back of the head be? Thats the part ill specifically be working on before i ship the mask off to my friend to finish the front part, as she has more experience with working with silicon and such.

@Scrouser, yeah stay tuned! I hope it goes through ok, my knees would be thankful, lol

finally got to cutting out the pattern, decided to go with a one piece suit so that the transition would be flawless. Gonna sew it tomorrow and then get to work with latch hooking right away!
