Thanks for the help Smile I ended up going a few sizes bigger, and they just do up over my calves. I've now finished up my costume, and sent it through for approval Smile

Does anyone have a source for reasonably priced Fake Fur Trim for the Cape? I'm going for the Statue look and sick of Feather Boa flying around every time I wore my Cape (and the fact that I can't wash it either)

I dumbly didn't submit my application years ago when it's still okay to use White Feather Boa so now have to redo the Cape Trimmings. Am gonna get a new Blouse too and probably this time with a Zip Opening at the neck.

I put my cape in the dryer with a Dryell sheet and spot treat any stains with a tide bleach pen (yay for a white costume lol).

I work for M&J Trimming in NYC and we don't even have a fake blue fur that would look good (we have a TON of furs and feathers - not all of it is online). The closest thing I could find was a Marabou Fringe #28050 in Light Blue. It flows nicely and is soft, but would require dry cleaning as well (it's also not too cheap at $30/yard).
However the 2 yard peice boas #16785 are what I use in Light Blue and are only $7.98 each (I use 4 boas total for cape and accessories). These would have to be hand sewn on though.

Your costume came out great. Looks fabulous on you. Good job!

I'm almost finished with mine. I just need to make the belt and pouch and put the fur on the boots and gloves. I have everything else ready to go.
Should have pics in the next couple weeks.

Wow, fantastic photos! Great location Smile So lucky to get awesome snowy photos!
It does look cold - I can't imagine wearing mine in such temperatures... but what Snowbunny can resist the chance to get some great photos in the snow? Smile

Great showcase for your costume Smile

(On a slightly related note - I threw my costume on yesterday for a quick photo with my birthday present - the GG Snowbunny maquette Smile

That is a really nice present! I bought one a bit ago and it cost me more than my whole Snowbunny costume cost me!

Wow! You're so lucky to get that Maquette. Wink

I was contemplating on whether to get the 12" Sideshow one but seems like not at the current rate I'm spending. Embarassed Anyhow, I prefer how Padme looks like in the Maquette: More Cute! Razz

Another option for the unitard is Discount Dance Supply - Bal Togs Body Unitard. It's priced around $68 US. Not the cheapest but it's there in case the other options disappear. If you order this unitard, you will probably have to wear nude color ballet undergarments with it because it's pretty thin. It has a great elastic quality so you don't have to worry with ordering under your size. Make sure to order your size by girth, LOL. That is the length of your torso and if you get it to small you will be a very unhappy camper. ^^ Obviously no one fits the size charts exactly, but you can alter most of the other measurements...not girth though. The hood is serged around the edges so you might want to turn it up and hem it for a more finished look. The hands are also covered. I just cut them off and hemmed them up since the gloves cover them. Smile

...We did a Snowbunny group and are working to expand it for DragonCon 2008. ^^

It's Adam Johnsey's (Corellian Base) daughter, Cody. She's so cute. Smile

Too bad UnderArmour doesn't make a cold weather unitard for this.
