RLGS 10th Anniversary Merch?

We just realized that 2017 is the Galactic Senate's 10th anniversary! With 274 members currently, I am amazed at how much our detachment has grown over the past decade.

To celebrate, we would like to produce some merchandise, naturally. We are thinking of doing a patch and/or a shirt for RLGS members. Would there be any interest in either of those items? If we were to do a shirt, would folks prefer a traditional t-shirt or a bowling shirt?

(My personal preference is for a traditional t-shirt because they are cheaper and more flattering on curvy figures.)

Edit: I've added a poll, so please select all of the items you would be interested in. We will decide what to produce based on what people are most interested in buying.

In order to accomplish this, we will need a 10th anniversary patch logo, and that's where you all come in. Please submit your designs to me by PM by July 31. You are welcome to submit multiple designs.

I would personally love a patch! Not sure whether a t-shirt would have many takers in my base, since there are only a few of us in this detachment, so we couldn't really do a bulk order to keep costs down.

In case of T/Shirt I would prefer T-shirt too, most of the shirts I usually see are absolutely bad :s

What about a sweater/hoodie ? Something nice like they have in Chile or Italia !

Regarding the patch : do you aim to do 2 version like for 5th anniversary ? (I think it was 5th anniversary) with silver that was for everyone but gold patch only for RLGS members. Smile

I would not say no also to a pins/badge that can be stick to a t shirt Wink

The gold patch was nice, but already used. We could always go with copper instead... Laughing

Alternatively, we could use metallic red thread in addition to the metallic silver.

I had an idea in my head of our basic patch with a sort of banner around the bottom saying "10 years." People can feel free to submit ideas with similar but new designs too.

I like the idea of a hoodie or a jacket, but if we are worried about cost and selling enough with a t-shirt, I suspect that more expensive outer-wear might be an even harder sell.

It sounds like a patch is attractive to people, though.

I have changed the first post to be a poll for what apparel people would be interested in buying. Unfortunately, it only wants to let us select up to three options, but if you are interested in everything, please say so in a post.

It looks like people are interested in a patch, and potential a members-only variant. I think whether we do the variant or not will depend on the designs that people submit.
