I'm a rather portly fellow and I made my vest from a single 4-pocket BDU. I did the whole thing with a needle and thread.

Do you have a link to the costumebase RFT?

Their RFT used to be approvable...however...
CostumeBase has been known to make changes in some of their costumes that make them no longer approvable.

well i found this link while googling, its not costumebase persay and the reason i say that is because the site i found this one said that this person is using the same images as cb and that it might be cb under a different name, i tried searching here but came up empty and if this ebay link/seller is not allowed or something please feel free to remove it

That sure looks like the old CB versions...and...
honestly....for only $100.00 you get the pants, shirt AND vest?

One can barely buy fabric for all 3 that cheap..
anyway...

it looks decent in the photo provided
but one can't zoom in really well on the images.

i am sure the blue is wrong but i was looking at it and thinking if you were to use a little dye remover it could come close or you could redye it or something, i may see if i can get one after the holidays and get some pictures for y'all

Rit color remover works really well..
https://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Color-Remover/dp/B00YQWT44G/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1509729190&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=rit+color+remover&psc=1

But....if you go for this option and purchase the set...
submit it as is for judging...
the color is not over the top blue on the shirt...

if you decide it is too dark....the Rit color remover will work...I have used several times....
remember though...
when using the Rit...when the article of clothing is wet...it will look darker....so...don't go too far with it...
the longer you leave the clothing in the solution, the more color gets removed...

wanted to post this real quick, i never got a reply from the seller, but i just had the picture open and was looking at it and even know its hard to see on the back is one big pocket below where it is supposed to be, so the vest is not fully correct but that might not be to hard to fix later

Fixing it is not hard...finding the correct fabric to fix it will be hard.

Mine has cuffs, but it is more accurate without.
