I hate to say it, but I'm kinda liking the gunner helmets. Just what I need is another costume project...

Hey, at least you're a quarter of your way there, with the boots and the gloves..... Smile

These are GREAT gunner helmets. I have one and it's in this pic (bottom pic, closest to the camera).

Those are amazing! I'd be interested in both a RFT and a Gunner. (I'm becoming a glutton for costuming pain.)

I spoke with him today, no further updates yet. He's been busy with a couple of other projects, but the improvements are coming.

Cal has been out of commission for a while due to a recent move, but is getting settled in as we speak. Let me see if I can prod him for an update....

MC has his shop set up now and is busy filling backorders. Once those are filled, he has a couple more tweaks to do to the molds before he will pull helmets.

The price he is estimating is VERY competitive. If anyone is even remotely interested in doing an RFT, now is a great time to get it done. RFT Nerf blasters are still in the stores, and IMHO, this will be the bucket to get. (I will be replacing my old SC bucket with one of these once they are ready).

There will be almost no reason why we can't outfit people who are interested in a relatively inexpensive, accurate, good costume. The shirts, vest and pants are all off the shelf, with minimal modding, the blaster is in the stores, and we have two solid sources for holsters. The boots are a minor issue, but there are ways around that.

If you're considering doing a RFT, the time was never better. Cool

(BTW, he will also be able to do flight deck crewmen's helmets and Imperial gunners with these molds, and has belt boxes. )

The goal is to have the flip down visor. The price range is $80-100. I am verifying the type of plastic used, hopefully ABS. Rough timeframe is about 4-6 weeks before he'll have his backlog caught up. But consider this an advance warning to start saving up those credits, 'cause these will be sweet. Cool Very Happy

ED: Plastic will be .93 shiny ABS, as per the first post.

day late and a dollar short...
Those look GREAT...
but..
I am turning my head away now as I feel temptation to do a Imperial Gunner...
and..
like so many of us...I already have enough costumes...and have one in the works that I can't seem to find the time for...
