First off, great job! This is a really tricky hairstyle to do so props to you for doing it. Secondly, I had a question. Are you using Kanekalon for the entire bun or are you using your own hair as well in the bun?
If you are using your own hair, I would suggest doing it damp/wet and twisting it in with the Kanekalon. I use a small bit of gel in my damp hair and it helps tame the flyaways and also keeps the Kanekalon in shape.
If you are using it as a separate bun that you are then pinning to your head, I would suggest you use a bun "donut" as the base and hot glue the hair to it. A few other ladies use this method and it seems to work really well for them.
I think either suggestion should help you. Good luck! _________________ Community Member of the Year 2019

From what I can see, your buns are off to a good start. They may be a bit on the 'fluffy' side, which makes them look a bit messy. If you either thin the hair or twist it a little more tightly, I think it would help. _________________

Thanks!
The buns are super fluffy lol. I have purchased some smoother hair to work with, so hopefully it won't be so big and poofy!
And I am using my hair and the kanekalon, I pig tail my hair and bobby pin the kanekalon right into my pigtails and twist from there.
I don't think damp hair would work for me, my hair tends to curl as it dries so it would end up being extra frizzy and curling out of the buns, I'm sure!
I'll post updates when I get the new hair pieces in and hopefully they will end up being smoother!!
Thanks for the help! _________________
