I've heard of jaw activated sound systems for wookiees - Is there any info out there who may be able to provide kits/systems for doing this - the micro controller system is what I see more common - I use it for my Vader - but someone told me there is a way to do Jaw triggered sounds. I've love to know.

I don't know of any Jaw activated ones. I am going to use the buttons in my gloves for activation. That way I can decide what sound I want at what time.

You would probably get more answers to your question if your post a new post for it. The only people who will see it here are the people watching my build.

I did a marathon week end and got my pants done. I am super happy with how they look, it's finally starting to look like a wookiee.

It's looking awesome! If you are like me, once the pants were done it seemed like it was downhill. Everything else went quick, but I was also excited about adding color to my suit haha.

Now that costume college is over I can get back to working on my Wookiee as I want to have it complete for our local Expo at the end of September.

I have a color question. I am doing the color pallet of my cat and am wondering if it would approvable to have the color around the neck paler that the rest of the body. My cat has almost a mane of paler fur that frames her head, would this be approvable or should I just keep it the same as the other fur?[/img]

I am not a judge, but I would think that if it was an approvable color and was symmetric it would be okay. The chin on my wook is lighter than the rest of my hair. I wanted to give him a kinda beard look but I think it gives him some extra character also.

Just my 2 cents, but might be worth 3 cents lol.

Finally got the arms done...whew that was a lot of hooking. Hoping to have the body done at the end of this week end and then only have the mask and hair cut left. Once I give it a hair cut the arms won't look so long.

I am getting so excited!

I finished working on the body and moved on to the mask. I got the mask together and the mesh hood on, then hooked the hood and moved on to laying the hair on the silicone. It is getting so close! I am so excited.

I bought used hockey shoulder pads from a sports re-use center and took the lower part of them off to be able to accommodate the cooling vest I am making.
