We had a discussion on making a standard for Rogue One Rebel Fleet Troopers here:

http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=81605

As a result of the discussion at the thread above, we are putting this costume standard up for a vote.

Please note again that the current A New Hope RFT standards as stated here

http://newsite.rebellegion.com/rebel-fleet-trooper-a-new-hope/

are still valid for ANH but if you want your RFT to be designated as "Rogue One", the Standard below (if approved) would be applied.

Rogue One Rebel Fleet Trooper Standard:

Helmet:

Screen accurate ANH RFT helmet.

Helmet should have an antenna on the commbox

Color of helmet can be either very light gray or white. Original helmets from ANH were actually gray to render white on film. So both colors are acceptable - very light gray as the actual color and white as the screen accurate version.

Vest:
Screen accurate black vest should be made of a heavy duty black canvas/duck cloth fabric with a double stitched yoke line in the front and the back.

The front of the vest should have
Right side one large pocket with 3 sections and each section should have a pocket flap and strap.
Below the upper pocket is a smaller open pocket with a Velcro closure.
Left side has one very large "half moon" pocket with two pockets on it. Top one is open and bottom one has a pocket flap. Below this large pocket is another pocket with a flap that is at the same height as the right side lower open pocket flap.

The back of the vest has one large, open pocket at the top just under the yoke line that is closed with Velcro and a strip pocket on the bottom that is divided into three compartments of one large center compartment and two smaller side compartments.

Shirt:
Blue chambray or grey/blue shirt with standard RFT bibb.
The shirt must have no cuffs.
No shirts that are too blue.

Boots:
Black boots with rounded toe and max height of mid calf.

Pants:
Light gray or medium gray (no charcoal gray) BDU pants with side pockets.

Blaster:
DH-17

Holster:
Brown holster with no leg strap

Belt:
Brown belt with octagonal silver buckle

MP Variation:

Screen accurate decals on the right side of the helmet
Black strip under black visor on front of bucket required
Screen accurate armband

Optional items:

Oversized pocket on the sides of the BDU pants that more closely resembles the reference photo.

Black strip below the black visor on the front of the bucket.

You can see in this scan that the vest is more like the photos of the "real" ANH vest that was recently up for bid on a collectibles auction site:

Thanks....could you add that the poll would end in a week?

so weird...
where I can see the poll at the top of the page...
and I can vote...

I still can't add a poll...or edit the poll....maybe because I am not DCO or DXO?

Looks like we were doing it at the same time. Now I know why it was acting squirrely. Very Happy

Voting has expired...

only 20 people voted ...which is rather sad....
but...
there was only one "nay" vote....
so...
the standards as written are approved.

Will be asking for these standards to be added to the Trooper area of the "standards".

Thanks to all who came by and voted and took part in the discussion...

What color should the arm band be? I have heard that it is black and or olive drab. Just want to make sure.

Thanks,

I made mine olive drab. I don't think that we have really figure out exactly which color it really is. The screen captures have been very dark, the Visual Dictionary does not show you the armband well and the costume has never been on display at any of the costume displays that I know of.
