Hello all! So I'm currently putting together the Ewok Leia costume and had a question on sandals. I've seen a bunch that kind of look right but aren't perfect. I also wanted to somewhat stay on budget. I found these at Target this weekend and was wondering if they would be approvable? The strings that wrap around the ankles can be shortened/cut off if necessary.

I'm also guessing that when wearing this costume pink nail polish isn't allowed on the toes. Wink

They are a bit more fancy than usual, but does have criss-crossing straps. They would need thicker straps at least.
And yeah, the nail polish is a bit ooc. Wink

Good luck with your Ewok Village Leia. It's a lovely costume. Very Happy

Thank you for the quick response to my question. I am a bit confused by your comment. The standards say "Flat tailored tan sandals (multi-strap or multi-lacing sandal styles preferred)" in regards to the sandals. Nowhere does it mention anything about the thickness of the straps. Does this mean these would automatically get denied if I submitted with them?

Which straps in particular are you referring to? The ones down the front of the foot?

Boo on the nail polish but understandable. Smile

Heh, we are in the process of updating the standard so it becomes clearer. Razz

Most change thin straps by cutting some thicker straps from their dress material and using that to get closer to the look of the original sandals.

Ah ha! That explains it then. I can make those alterations easy enough. That's an easy fix. Thanks for the help on this. Smile

Best of luck. Smile I spend a long time searching for sandals before I found some that could be used. That was the very first part of the costume for me. Wink

I found mine by searching for "multi strap brown sandals" if you want to make them match your dress a little more, you can always paint them Smile that's what I did
