I am still leaning towards this being an off the rack suit with modifications, the zippers would not be there otherwise.
I'm leaning towards this color, but sometimes it looks more blue.

Columbia color matched the coats/suits pretty well, and got the green-light from LFL on the color they used.

So trying to source these I have been scouring the net and have come up with some thoughts

1) The suits look like Cold Weather / Insulated suits
2) They are likely to have a hood folded into the collar
3) There is a map pocket on the right leg
4) The thigh pockets have curved seams
5) There is a seam running shoulder to shoulder across the chest from what I can see.
6) Zip Thigh pocket on left leg
7) Zips on both lower legs

The closest I have seen to any of these is the USAF CWU-1/P but they still have loads of details missing. They look generally of the right material though. So whether there are other suits similar age (Vietnam era) then that might work.

It'll depend on the details - these suits are $200 dollars so would be difficult to get two and mod!

I'll keep searching but watching this thread with interest - I mean who doesnt want to be in Blue Squadron !!

Well it's either that or I'm going with the new Red 5 !!

I have a contact in London he's going to ask David Crossman at event that is coming up...however It won't be until January 10th. Hopefully we can get a definitive answer. If I hear anything else from my other contact I will most definitely post here!

The color is what I'd call 'petroleum blue', but I don't know if that's what it's called in English.

I think these are real world flight suits of some sort, there is a knife pocket on the leg.

The color is a blue/green like this:

The color reminds me of late 50's USAF issue, before everything went "green"

Exactly. Smile Petrol/Petroleum, I don't care what you call it, that's the color it looks to be to me.

that's a good find on that harness material. It HAD to be something manufactured, at the level that they were using it in the movie.

To me this movie seems more recycled than we have seen in the past.
