Jim here. I can make the ears the same time I made the donut, no problem. Just did not think anyone needed that part. I still have the mold that Donna loaned me.

As for the bill, Phylis will need to check the prototype I sent her to be sure I have that bottom part right. I don't have the soft parts of the Endor Commando helmet to check against. Some feedback from her on the prototype will help me get it right before production. Othewise, the molds ae ready to go. I should have sample ready to send her this week.

Jim, how much do we add for a pair of ears?

Many thanks for that --it'll help if everyone in our group has the same type. Cool

No change in price. I can pull them the same time I do the rest of the helmet.

Thanks Phylis for posting the pics for review. Please remember, this is a prototype, and some suggestions have already been made. These will be worked into the final version. Any other suggestions, please let Phylis know!

We will try to get these done, and a sample kit sent to her this week.

That has me excited --over 45 helmets preordered! Wow!

We are really going to have to organize a separate ERT photoshoot at the next Celebration. If there were 10 or so others at CIV, then at could conveivably be 50-60 plus troops.

We have 10 from Denver, so far. I'm starting to get pumped for this. It should be a lot of fun.

WOW!

45, thats great. I think if we get the changes made to the prototype this week, we can maybe start taking orders very soon.

Thanks everyone!

Well...I did some cutting on the proto-type this am...looks like we are good to go...
I still have to clean up the edges with sandpaper...and will take a couple more photos with the pleated piece...these photos show the donut with
the ANH only...

sorry for the crummy photos...try taking pictures of your own head...

Sounds good, Phyllis. I should have the assembly guide done in a day or two, and can ship you the sample out then. As far as the changes you and I have discussed, will do, but will not be on the sample, sorry I already made that one, but will be on the final part. I can see that next week is realistic for start taking orders.

YAY! Sunrider's Special Forces will have more company at the next Celebration in the US. Very Happy

Although I have to admit there was an impressive amount of Endor Troopers on Sunday of C4:

You guys did a great job of putting together the entire ERS project to try to get a group in the Rose Parade...
even though you didn't make it into the Rose Parade, all of your efforts will have a much more lasting effect.

I counted the ERS and RFT's before the two projects really got off the ground..

in the entire RL...there were only 14 ERS around November of last year!

14
.... in the entire world!
Shocked

There were two runs of the original donut (I can't remember how many were in each run)
...and there are 44 pre-orders for donuts now...so...
think of how dramatically just being able to buy a donut has impacted this costume....

Same with the RFT's....Jim's really great AND affordable helmet has made all the difference...

Now...if ONLY I could get my butt in gear and get back to the Hoth project... Crying or Very sad

You get to be the lead for the Hoth project, Phyllis. It's too darned hot out here in California to even consider doing that one. LOL. Laughing
