Hello everyone

I have a member in my Base who is putting together another Obi Wan Mythos who is referred to a SideShow that is going to leave in September.

I am studying the Costume with the member, and there are differences between the two Mythos

https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-sideshow-collectibles-100327/

Differences

Mythos Classic (Figurine and Comic)

-Fabrics worn, broken and burned
-Arma more like Tusken
-Pucks and boots of Obi Wan from Episode 3
-Two bottles of water attached to the vaporizer
-There are 3 food capsules

Mythos SideShow

-Lesses less worn and broken
-Arm more like a rifle
-Pouchs in the shape of a banana
-The boots have all-terrain soles
-No food capsules
-And the bottles are not together with the vaporizer

Important

-The Mythos Lightsaber is not the same as Obi Wan's Episode 3. It's the Hero version

If we are going to build a Standard Costume, I recommend setting up a Standard that has both variants

Yours!

I agree, have the variants accounted for in the CS.

Also for years this version has been called Obi-Wan Mythos. I think it would be ideal if that was the name for clarity.

- the figure is often shown with no backpack.
backpack should be optional.

also

- first pic shows ANH saber with ANH lightsaber hook ;
second pic shows ROTS lightsaber with covertec.

both combinations should be allowed.

As it is still titled Nomad, I would again bring up that everyone has called this Obi-Wan Mythos for years. Not many will make the costume, but calling it the name it is known by could be helpful

Hello Michael! Agreed. People usually call it Mythos, since the original 2006/2007 statuette was from the Mythos series (such as Boba Fett and Vader). Last year another figure of this version of Obi Wan came out (with slight differences, which would be other variants). I propose that we put both names Nomad / Mythos, since this new figure is. An opinion. I agree that the most classic name is Obi Wan Mythos.

We will see what other users think.

Yours!

I am currently working on this costume and, as of now, only have the rifle and backpack left to finish. I have all the other bits and pieces complete that attach to the pack. So, I'm rather anxious to see how the CRL turns out.

Hi everybody.

I would like to cooperate with making of standard of Obi-Wan Kenobi Mythos Sideshow Collectibles Sixth Scale Figure costume (Release date: September 2018).
The Rebel Legion recently approved as formal my costume inspired by this version and I hope I can contribute with a little information on this topic.

About costume name: Everybody knows this costume as Mythos. That is a fact.
Right name? Absolutely not. The right name is Desert Nomad. However the name of this costume must be familiar for everybody. Mythos is a very good name even though is very important to differentiate both versions (Polystone statue of 2007 and Sixth Scale Figure of 2018). It's just my opinion.

About backpack: My opinion says that the backpack is a mandatory element on this costume. Why? Simply because has been showed on each version of this costume in the course of time. As much the statue as the figure, the backpack and its elements show Kenobi's life on exile. His memories, his way to survive on Tattoine, his relationships with Tusken Raiders people, everything is present in that backpack. It's a "must" appreciate this element.

I would like to share with you some prototype photos (early 2018) of this figure, a Youtube video with a very accurate review of the figure and at the last Sideshow website link with definitive figure released on Sept. 2018.
This is just my humble opinion and thanks for this place to debate. May the Force be with you

Hello Ricardo!

Thank you for all information. This information is very important. We have to keep in mind that now we have two versions of Mythos. That of the 2007 Figurine, where the tunics have considerable wear and has more elements, and the September version of 2018, where it has small differences.

Obviously we have to build a single Standard with variants.

Yours!
