Has anyone worked up any of the costumes from Imperial Assault?
I am working on an Endor Commando now, but I would love to do this costume early next year. I just wondered if anyone was working along similar lines, of what people thought about this.
Thanks for the info! _________________ "In wartime, the truth is so precious she must be attended to by a bodyguard of lies"- Winston Churchill |

To be an approvable costume, it has to have 3 cannon images. We also need to see front and back. _________________ R.A.I.D. CO 2014-2019

I really like Imperial Assault, and I enjoyed running Fenn in a campaign so much that I even like to run him in casual skirmish games for fun, even though he is not strong for his cost in the skirmish game.
One other thing to consider about Fenn's attire, it is very modern military looking, and more so than being Star Warsy. He has the Endor Trooper style donut helmet, but the vest, shemagh style scarf, thigh holster, just look like regular gear. _________________ Endor Rebel Commando: Active Legion Member

I agree with Chris above.
Im working on my COBRA Desert Sniper, and this looks like the GI JOE gear the guys build. My thoughts were this looks like Dusty with a different helmet in his more modern guise as a Sideshow figure. Ive seen so much khaki BDU material lately I identified the pants as the proppers I wear and the shirt is straight off my BSG Colonial Marine shirt with the brown shoulder suede, swapping the Rebel bird for the Colonial Defense patch. Thats a modern chest rig with what looks like the same pouches Ive been buying from Condor tactical, drop leg holster with silver buckles, dump pouch and or molle II canteen/frag pouch on the hip....yeah it looks modern with a different helmet and a 280. Even the gloves look like my Hatch tac gloves with the knuckle pads. He even has his water pouch drinking tube coming over his right shoulder. My guess is that the artist took a airsofter image and "rebelled it". Lone Wolf?
*THAT SAID* with the work being done on the R1 trooper and several of the TFA troopers, they too are made up of modern real world off the shelf components.
While we may not see the back of *this* figure at this time, I wold say if you want it...build it! That doesnt mean that we can approve it, just as Chuck says because of the "rule of three". BTW Ebay is awesome with the free shipping on all my COBRA gear---just sayin.
oh by the way this is Lone Wolf

The backside has a modern (actually older) ALICE Butt pack mounted on his pistol belt _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

That does!
now when I paint the character I can look that up and paint it appropriately based on shading and highlights.
AND for anyone wanting to build the character. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

I paint these too! I'm the game master when we play, so I get to wear my imperial officer hat and call people rebel scum. |

oh thats awesome!
actually i dont play--i have no interest in any games at all, but ive been building models for 45 years and painting 25mm figs for the last ten. Im not nearly as good as others, but I do win contests.
I go into the game shop in town, watch people argue about rules...buy my latest figures and more paint and head to the bench to start cleaning mold seams up. I loved working on the ATST. That was a great piece. _________________ Once I was Dewka, but now I'm just G'nott sH'urr

I'm not a gamer, so this is a new persona for me to think about. I'm looking forward to seeing these outcomes. Remember however, you need at least two front and back images that show from head to toe the details of the costume. _________________ Todd (Toda) - former RAID XO (2017-2019)
