Tarik Raalen is the name. Just flew in from Corellia in a madman's YT-2400. He said something about cutting parsecs and making the run faster, but it made no sense. I mean a parsec is distance, not time. Anyways, looking for the jedi temple around here so I can get some training. Mind pointing the way?

Lurked around the forums off and on for years, but never made the decision to make my first cosplay. Now I'm starting. Picked up the Simplicity 5840 to start and trying to figure out where to go from here.

I'm in Dripping Springs/South Austin and would love to chat with someone about making my first Generic Jedi. Already planning my second to be an Ep VII Luke because of my beard, but my Jedi is a great place to start.

Welcome! Camille is the local Temple Master and I'm the Assistant Temple Master. We're always glad to have more Jedi! Generic Jedi are fun because you can give them a personal, creative touch, unlike every other costume in the Rebel Legion (with the exception of X-wing pilot helmets).

Looking at your pic, I see a mandarin collar and was wondering if you have a pattern...

I'm brand spanking new here, and just moved from Spicewood to Cedar Park. Looking to start building my generic Jedi costume. I am a United Methodist Pastor, so I thought it was be awesome to also offer officiating of weddings, too. But, I'm thinking I'd love to start with a generic Jedi costume. I'm really into the basic Benedictine monastic robes with a sepulcher. And the Jedi robes have got to be partly inspired by those and a few buddhist monk robes, as well.

I guess, I need to find someone local that simply lives making them and would like to work with me on sizing and cost...or at the very least a clothing pattern I can use to find someone to make them for me.

Thanks so much everyone! Looking forward to meeting everyone and helping out any way I can.
