Nominations for Duty Officer for 2016-2017 Term

Nominations for Duty Officer can now be made and are open for the next 7 days.

Nominations must be from Active members only. A member may nominate themselves and that will require a second nomination. Standing officers must post their desire to seek another term or decline to seek another term (no response is considered a decline). No second is required for standing officers.

Nominations begin September 12, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. through September 18, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.

If there is more than one accepted nominee, Q&A begins September 19, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. through September 25, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Note that the answers from candidates will be allowed to continue for two (2) additional days (through September 27, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.).

Voting begins September 28, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. through October 4, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.

The new administration will take office per the charter the Monday following the conclusion of the elections on October 10, 2016 at 12:01 a.m. This will allow for time to validate all voting polls and give the webmasters time to start assigning appropriate permissions for new electees..

If no nominations occur the current Duty Officer shall continue in office.

NOTE: Per Rebel Legion policy, there is NO campaigning of any kind allowed for candidates for any elected position during elections. This includes, but is not limited to displaying banners, mass emails, using RL or RL sponsored forums or sites (to include social media) to send messages or postings to vote for a specific candidate. Anyone suspected/caught doing this will be subject to investigation and possible disciplinary action if substantiated.

Also, all phases of the election cycle (nominations, Q&A and voting) will take place ONLY here on the main RL forums. No auxiliary base/outpost or RL related websites or social media pages will be used for these purposes.
