Since some of usare getting close to the point where we need to decide this, We need to come to a decision on what color we are going to paint our helmets.

I asked the question on RL: http://rebellegion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7847 And got some interesting responses.

There has been a lot of debate on whether to paint them Grey or White. The issue is, that we know for a fact that the helmets were indeed white. However, most of the screen shots make the helmets looks like they are off-white to Grey compared to very bright white walls of the Tantive IV. And then there are other's still that make them white. The issue is do we do what we know the prop was or what it looked like on screen.

Both gray and white are acceptable, but it is advised that each base stick with the same color. We already have a couple of RFTs that are now in the new Base: http://www.rebellegion.com/user.asp?ID=1619 http://www.rebellegion.com/user.asp?ID=3187 So if you two can chime it it would be great.

So what do we think guys and gals? My vote is for Dove Grey.

I voted for white b/c 1) it's less work to do on the costume right? (no helmet painting) and 2) the screen shots are not exactly accurate for coloration b/c of the shadows, light, lighting, etc on the set. There's a difference between 'screen' accurate and 'set' accurate.

Just my $0.02.

I think that no matter what, they need to be painted, even if it is just white on white...

I say white. I don't recall seeing any of the helmets looking Grey.

I'm really leaning toward some kind of 'off white', or a white with just a touch of grey mixed in... I'm such a guy, I'm HORRIBLE with colors Embarassed

That is correct, if you get the helmets from tk560. The material that he uses will Yellow over time if not painted.

So, how many of these costumes do we now have in Dantooine Base? 3 at least I think. Anyway, when the trooper detachment is formed, we'll be ready, right? Wink
