I was looking through photo references to redo my boots in the best way possible (I broke my original boot tops, then ordered boot tops from Leiastrooper that didn't quite work, and now ordered new ones from Jamin), and I found this eBay listing for Slave Leia boot replicas.
They are made in Singapore, but the listing is not very specific about the materials, but for what I've seen, they're pretty accurate (the claws are tied to the boot like the original, and they appear to be adjustable). The only downside is that the boots are only made in 3 sizes: 6, 7.5 and 9.
Has anyone ever seen them before? Used them? What's the consensus?

Being in the midst of this costume with my wife, that's tough to tell.
No way to know if the boots are proportionally tall enough to match your height.
You'd have to match the bra color and material to the boot material.
Accuracy is tough to tell, but if you are doing side-by-sides then you would be seeing that better. I wasn't aware that the ends were tied to the boot like that. it doesn't read like that in the reference, but I'm just waking up.
Was thinking Costumebase has a negative rep, but I may be misremembering that point?
If you already ordered new toppers, these are the boots we got for under $40 shipped. The extra height means there is bra material to spare. Some dying is all that's needed, if at all, to match personal preference.

In the Star Wars Costumes book, you can see the ties in the boots. Not so much in actual reference images, but after you see the boot up close, then you start seeing it.
I am in the process of redoing my costume, and my bra doesn't quite match my boots again (I replaced the suede of my bra and my boots are still brown).
I'll keep people posted. _________________ Dowager Queen Delegation Leader 2015-2017

Hard to say. They might slouch too much. _________________

You could always fix the slouching problem by adding boning to the back, but yes, it's a bit hard to tell from here. _________________

I remember last year when I still an LCJ, we did have an applicant apply with these boots I let her know about the slouching problem and recommended her to add boning. They looked much better once they had structure!( She was approved btw )The color of these boots are great. I wish they came in more sizes. |
