I saw all the cool patches trooping last night and now I must have some. So where do we get the local patch? I see there are some patches for sale on forums in the for sale forum but do not see our local one. Thanks!

We are LONG overdue for patches for:

Mountain Base
Manarai Temple - Our Jedi temple
Canyon Runners - Our X-wing squadron
and our RAID group.

I just finally got my hands on a Manarai patch and I've been here since 2012!

I too would love a Mountain Base patch. Smile Make that two.

And what sorts of places are people putting these? Especially the 11" one? Chase has a cool bomber/letter jacket. I saw a few "bowling" style shirts...

On what do the ladies have their patches? I'm considering a big tote bag (denim maybe?)... I will cave and buy a jacket if that is the more reasonable place to put them, though I was hoping to find something to carry/wear at conventions with it.

I have patches on my helmet bags, lightsaber bag, dickies shirts are great for making troop shirts too! The big patches are typically for back of shirt/jacket but there is no standard for most general patches just put them on whatever you want!

The racing shirts you saw are from past runs. A Rebel Legion one ran last in October of last year. Keep your eyes on the merch section for those runs.

As for local patches that is up to the base to do a run. Maybe we should get a new patch/coin run going!

Coins were just done a year ago, but we haven't done patches in so long. I'd vote for patches over coins.

I mostly save patches. One for my collection, extras to trade. I do have patches put on my laptop bag though. I want to do a leather letterman jacket at some point.

Yes, I would love us to do an order for patches!
So what do we need to do to get it started?

I will ask a couple different sources how we go about getting a patch run and maybe add a coin run too. I'm new to that process but it seems pretty simple - if we just used MB and RL logos that exist it's easy enough to get approved I believe, and then we just have to ensure we'd get enough to meet a minimum purchase.

I'll post up on Mountain Barracks Facebook to get a convo started - that's a secret FB group for RL only - hit me on FB if you need to get into that.

Brack would need to be consulted as our merch officer. The runs have been approved in the past, so a re-run is usually very easy peasey to do.

Not to beat a dead Bantha...or poke it with a stick...

PATCHES!

I agree with Shana, that it would definitely be patches over coins. It has been a while and we have seen the membership grow by leaps and bounds over the last year. (Thank you awakening Force) Wink Let's get some swag for the new members and the old members too!

Let's check with Brack!

Wooo Patches!

Man, I haven't seen patches since I joined in 2010! I think someone gave one to me out of mercy. I might be in for a few to trade.

I have my BIG RL patch on the back of a 1970's orange with white trim bowling shirt that I found on ebay. It's a one-of-a-kind. And I'm about to add flak vest tubing on the front (you'll just have to see it when I'm done to understand LOL). I haven't seen BIG MB patches...
