This is a short tutorial on how I build my Miraluka mask.
Miraluka are a race of near-humans that are born without eyes. They cover their empty eye sockets with some sort of ceremonial eyecover like a veil (the most known example would be Visas Marr) or some sort of glasses. Most examples of Miraluka come from Star Wars The old Republic, as they are one of the playable races. As Miraluka are force sensitive, they can be Jedi or Sith.

Here are some reference pictures of the glasses:
Based on this I build my own version to cover my real-life glasses. They looked like this when ready:
If you want to hide real glasses behind them, you have to make sure, that there can no light shine behind the cover from above, or the glasses will be visible.
I build mine on a frame of wire, leather (for the lower parts on the cheeks), cement-fabric (the sort you use for keeping your broken leg rested) and paper.
Then smoothing the surface by sanding, adding some last details and priming with black. I used pearl-maker to add the ornaments:
Then I painted it with gray and the patterns with gold. The viewing panel is made of black fabric, glued behind strong transparent film. The blue cristal is an acryl cristal.
The whole thing is fixed to my glasses by a system of straps, that are sticked to the back of the mask. I'll add some more pictures later. _________________
