Quick update...

I'm kinda stuck now Crying or Very sad

I'm meeting with a friend who knows how to sew on July 3rd. She will then start making the vests, bibs, hose- and softrollcovers and the gaters.

But the flight suit is currently my biggest concern: I don't want to settle for anything far from accurate. Lokrin is revamping his pattern together with Starfighter Command...which will surely have great results, but is extremely time consuming...so unless an accurate or near-accurate flightsuits drops into my lap...this costume will not be finished soon *sigh*

Had a talk with the tailor to do a super-accurate A-Wing flight suit based on the 2-KB suit. Will get this done before December.

I'll meet the friend who will sew the other soft parts within the next couple of weeks as well.

It's all processing rather slowly...BUT should be very well worth the wait Smile

Good luck with it. Smile

I wish I had pictures I could share, but the left arm pocket is essentially a Nomex pen pocket with four pen slots (two above slots with two more slots below) but the bottom is rounded instead of squared and it has some loose material so that the bottom can expand (even though it's sewn closed on all sides so the expanding bottom is pretty much useless). Like the Nomex pockets, the pocket is rotated at an angle with the top rotating toward the torso and the bottom rotating toward the back.

Hopefully, whenever the A-wing pilot standards are updated, there will be examples of the pocket.

On a similar note, in case anyone cares, the B-wing pilot standards have been updated. I'm still working on getting pictures together for it. Razz
