Well, duh! Of course, I'm excited! More than I was for TFA, actually. Wink
Now I 'just' need to get my costume made before the premier...

Much more excited for this one than TFA or EP8. I still love the OT the most.

BTW, here are some pics you might be interested in:

it looks awesome! I watched it a bunch of times when I got home. I work in a no cell phone/no outside internet facility so I had to wait all day to watch it.

Could be good. Very disappointed to see that JJ lens flare, but glad to see the old costumes again.

Slotting the DS gun into place though... How many dozens of kilometers across is that thing? How much mass and how delicate the interface to station to be moving at the speed we just saw it at? Makes more sense to incorporate it during the build. It's not a finishing cherry to be placed on top, it's integral to the Sundae itself.

If the worst of the movie is her accent, I'll be happy. And like the rest say here, more happy about this than TFA or E8. We shall see in 8 months!

Looking more closely, they seem to confirm my theory that the flare belt goes above the boot with a slash of orange between. However, they've changed the material and made it padded or something. More akin to the TFA flight suits in that regard.

Here are some thing I noticed from the trailer about the new costume.

The gloves are different and and have something attached to them.

The top front pockets look like the stick out far with stuff in them

The material looks more like nylon material like a rain jacket material.

Does the mohawk on the helmets look like different in height and thickness among them. They don't look the same?

I think the new gloves have comm pads of the style that the ESB pilots and officers wore on their gauntlet cuffs -- but rotated 90°.

I think the flightsuits are real-life flight-suits that have been modified. The orange hue is too red and some pockets are clearly in a different fabric than the rest.

The plastic strip on top of the mohawk should be precisely 2" (5 cm) wide. It is slightly too wide on many fan-made helmets.
Maybe the sides of the new mohawk do not have the correct slope.

Let's wait and see before we base anything on two blurry images.

I think you're right. I think they took modern NOMEX suits and modified them.

It's nice to see some of the classic helmet designs coming back in some new images:
Possibly Evaan Verlaine from the Princess Leia Comic Book (?)

Possibly another Tierfon Yellow Aces pilot (Like Porkins below)

Second to last on the left... Porkins?
