I know this was likely posted at some point, but I was wondering if anyone had a source for a good leg flare holder.  I'm upgrading my pilot costume and I'd like to get a very nice one if possible.  The one that I made when I first started is kind of falling apart, didn't look very good and sometimes unvelcros.  Thanks for any heads up you can give me.

Mike

That tutorial is a good one, that's pretty much how I did the 6-7 I did for the C3 Pilot Project.

I was lucky. Picked up expended Air Force safety vest air cylinders (they're brass, but what the hey), purchased some olive drab canvas material and took it in to the Safety Systems Shop. They're building it for me AND a helmet bag, too. Go Air Force! Bravo Zulu

I do have another set. Unfortunately the metal shop is a bit behind on work-related projects so they haven't had the opportunity as yet to chop the threaded necks and punch the hole for the rivets. As soon as they do, I'll have a set to sell for a VERY reasonable price, plus S/H.

If you wanna give me about a week I can make you some. I am in the process of making some for someone else...

I would just need your calf measurement and what size your flairs are.

15.00 plus shipping if you were interested.

I used the same fabric that I made my Endor gaiters out of.

Some also use fabric from old army duffel bags.
