OK, bought a stamp-making kit today at Michael's, and isolated the scroll/loop pattern with a lot of photo-editing. Now I'm trying to decide on the dimensions. Right now I'm going with a height of 1 1/4", based on the fact that I see 7 sets of the repeating pattern down the capelet. Does that sound about right?

Hey guys,
I thought I would post here, instead of making a Thread dedicated to the dress...

I am making a RL Submission version of Padme's Steel Blue Nightgown, and having read the description of the back on Padawan's Guide I'd like to see how some others have done it...(I learn better with visual aids...lol)

Anyone here made the Costume and willing to show off the back for me? lol

I did the back of mine similar, but slightly different than the one in the tutorial, so I'll post the link to my blog here, so you can see what I did as well:

Nice start. If it helps, you can see how I did my broach and buckle on my blog here: http://costumesandartwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/padme-mustafar-update.html I also used Sculpey/Primo.

Does anyone have pics (or attempted) Padme's death dress? I think it also has the belly bump and might be good for those preg moms.

Or, it might be just friggin' morbid. Anyway, Padme is the only character who has decent maternity clothes!

This is also called the "Water gown" or "End dress". I've seen at least one but I can't remember who did it. She did a very good job. I wish I could remember who it was...Confused

Here's the Padawan's Guide page on it:

Padme would still have a bit of a "baby bump", though not as much as she had while pregnant, because you never shed the whole bump right after birth it takes a bit. Rolling Eyes

I think it is Kell who has this one - and it is really nice. You could check the roster to verify that. I sort of remember her talking somewhere about how she did it but that was quite a while ago and I don't remember where...

You should talk to gofasterstrawberry from your base, she has one of the best ones as she did the burn out herself and hand painted it.

Of course that dress has a baby bump. They split up and hid Luke and Leia. They certainly wouldn't want anyone to know that Padme gave birth.

OK.....maybe I'll be sticking to the balcony dress or Mustafar travel outfit. That water dress looks dang near impossible. Those sequins - Ouch! There's no way I could do that!

You could do it! It just takes time and patience Very Happy I find doing tedious handwork while watching TV is the best way to do it.
