I have been told that I would make a good old Luke.

I was planning on making a generic Jedi based off of a little of ROTJ Luke using this as a reference for the costume.

http://www.kjo.rebellegion.com/?portfolio=luke-skywalker-episode-vi-jabbas-palace-sarlaac-pit

With these as the reference for the material and lengths

I have a lot to learn before I get started to get up to speed on the lingo of the Rebel Legion.

The ultimate goal will be ready within 6 months to a year. Good thing I have a lot of good friends in the 501st, Garrison Carida and the Rebel Legion, Ghost Base.

Any input would be helpful.

Thanks!!

Are you going with the ROTJ color scheme, but TFA style or vice versa? I think I got a bit confused here.

I hope you have had a look at our standards and if not then do so you know what needs to be included. Smile

The TFA Luke looks to me to be the ROTJ Luke but ankle length. Since there is not a CRL for the TFA Luke, I was hoping to use the ROTJ Luke with the proper material/colors and length of the TFA Luke.

I am still doing a lot of research before I dive into buying material. I will look further into the standards for a generic Jedi. If a CRL gets put together I will change and go that direction.

I don't expect a standard for Luke in TFA until there are more costume reference shots available. Right now there aren't enough to make a standard or to get a costume approved that is submitted with the reference pics.

You can do something very similar with the generic standards. It won't be exact, but it would be close and approvable.

Actually, the most current I know of is here. http://www.rebellegion.com/jedi-costume-standards-generic/ I'm not sure the assorted forum posts actually get updated to match, all the time. (Some might, some might not. I'd go with the web site version as I know it's current.)

wow. you certainly look the part Cool great work.

I'm not sure that you can squeeze this into the 'generic jedi' category, though.
when I submitted my very first costume for the Legion, it was anakinIII.
I submitted as "generic jedi", because I was missing a few details, and I knew it was not a complete "anakin".

--> the judge told me it looked too much like anakin ..
.. therefore he would judge it AS anakin. (it was rejected). Confused

^^ granted, this was 8 years ago .. but still .. your costume is definitely Luke TFA. Razz

you're the spitting image Cool it looks awesome.

--> it would be a shame, if this was NOT accepted as a "face character" Wink (IMO), you should take this "All the way".

(submit as "LUKE" ; not "generic")

cheers.

Yeah, a generic jedi TFA Luke is not acceptable, so either full TFA Luke or pure generic jedi.
