So I'm not totally sure where one can post this question so I decided to go with my local troop. I have been looking at all the Jedi clothing and came across one that really caught my attention. It is a twin rose design custom job but I feel like it still holds to the essence of a Jedi but with a slightly different design that directs itself more to a light saber expert.

Now I have read the pages saying what is needed for Jedi garb but I wasn't sure if there was grey room for something like this. I have done some research and I know that Jedi's in the old republic would modify their gear from time to time to fit their needs better. They would keep the earth based colors though and even in the new Jedi order they were much looser on their standards for gear worn by jedi's.

Now I'm not trying to change anything here. But was just curious with knowing these things. Any and all help would be great. Thank you all for your time and aide.

It seems to be working on my phone and computer Neutral If it helps it's the force II inspired custom jedi wrap. It's the one with short sleeves and bracers.

http://www.twinrosesdesigns.com/Star%20Wars%20Inspired%20Clothing%20Portfolio.html

Here is the page. I can't copy the image due to protection I think they have. It's the Force 2 inspired tunic and wrap about 3/4 of the way down.

When it comes to sleeves.....
there must be long sleeves...
either the inner OR outer tunic...

In the case of 99% of the costumes...the outer tunic has the long sleeves...

If one decides to make a short sleeved/sleeveless Outer tunic...then the inner tunic must have long sleeves....
you can use bracers if you desire..
and some folks use arm wraps...

the bracers or arm wraps are "extras"...and are not judged.

If you click into my profile...you will see a Jedi costume that has a sleeveless outer tunic with a short sleeve inner tunic...
BUT
you will also notice that that particular costume is marked
"informal/non canon"...
that informal designation is no longer used....
so...
had I submitted that costume now...
it would just be denied.

Ok. I had seen the rules before but had hope that there might be a loophole or outside chance that if I just modified one or two things but tried to have the rest match to a T it would work.

Sorry I forgot to mention I would be adding the needed collar to the OT. As well as the fold over design. I also figured on adding a inner tunic as well.

I will be honest...we as judges have been cautioned not to say yah or nay on whether something is approvable or not...

just review the costume standard...
and if it hits on all notes..
then you should be good to go..
