Hi guys,
time for my second costume, and I thought I'd go for the ERT.
Here's some pics of my progress so far. Apologies for my ugly mug in them Very Happy
(I've also provided links to where I purchased some items.)

Jacket - Swedish M40 Snow Parka £8.99
http://www.militarymart.co.uk/index.php?_a=product&product_id=2103

Jacket Dyed and altered

White Combat Trousers £16.99 - eBay seller military_1st
(Dyed tan and sprayed as per the Endor Bunker tutorial.)
First time I ever tried spray painting fabric. They look a lot better than the pic shows.

Boots and gloves (already started weathering them.)
IDF Palladium Commando Tan Boots $38.00 - eBay seller israeldefense
Drayton Leather Gardening Gloves £6.99 - eBay seller tradesofas

US Vietnam era web belt, ammo pouches and buttpack. (Already had these.)
East European Army Backpack £10.99 - eBay seller surplusandlost
(Ignore the AR-15, it's just a stand in for the E-11 and does the Backpack really need the black hose?)

Jacket painted (I think I'm getting better at it.)

Jacket and trousers together, again looks a better match in the flesh.

So that's it so far.
Still to get the helmet and the gaiters. I have an E-11 in the post and as I can't drive, I think I'll stick with it. It will be easier to transport to troops than a rifle.
Feedback and constructive criticism welcomed.
Cheers
Mike

Looking good! I like the look of the gloves, I have to try and find a pair of those.

Excellent progress!

Actually, the AR-15 is the base for the blaster:

The props for Empire Strikes Back were built around StG-44's but that would have entailed getting permits to import "Machine Guns" into the US (fat chance!) so they built the ROTJ version around commercially available AR-15's (not capable of full-automatic fire).

I built mine around a $30 "airsoft" type rifle, and a resin conversion kit.

Quick question did you just take a few inches off the bottom of the parka? I'm looking to get one since I can't find a duster long enough.
