So I am working on Lowbacca as my costume. But I have seen some issues with approval on charatures that don't fit into one catagory. So who do I start with? Something tells me the approval process is going to be harder then the costume. Feel free to pm me if that is the better way.

Luke Skywalker (Death Star Duel) revision

This proposed revision is based on the photos of Lukes ROTJ costumes on pages 130-132 of "Star Wars Costumes, The Original Trilogy" which clearly show a fly and appropriate stitching along with the "tuxedo" trim on the side seams of the legs.

"REQUIRED ITEMS

1. Fitted, black long-sleeve plastron shirt w/mandarin-type collar. The bib should be lined with a slubby, linen look fabric in white or very light gray. No visible fastener if the bib is worn open.

2. Black flat front fitted pants with a zipper and fly.

3. Black leather belt with silver weathered octagonal buckle w/small back pouch.

4. Black equestrian-type knee-high boots.

5. Luke’s ROTJ hero lightsaber hilt.

6. Black leather wrist length right glove

Characters’ hair needs to be a “similar” style to that of Luke Skywalkers’- no buzz cuts or beards also.

OPTIONAL ITEMS

1. Black "tuxedo" trim on the side seams of pants.

2. Riding seam on the back of the pants.

COSTUME RESOURCES
1.Graflica Tutorial
2.www.masterskywalker.net

Notes:

The basic costume remains the same though out the movie. The cloak appears at the beginning but once it is discarded there it does not reappear. By the end of the movie the kimono style vest has been discarded and replaced by a black utility belt with a heavily blackened and weathered flat silver buckle.

Luke's shirt was fitted tightly enough they had a hidden zipper under the left sleeve.

The pants had stirrups to keep them from blousing over the top of the boots.

You're welcome, sarah_d!

Those are the ones I found on the internet so far. Also, there are 2 more issues pending release in May and June, so I'm hoping for better reference images when they're out and will update accordingly.

Should the blaster not be optional? Due to gun laws here we are not allowed to even own such a fake blaster.

Currently searching for moderately priced and approved black boots. Was told these are costume approved: http://www.wwmerc.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=60530401&type=store&category=7100

Who can confirm this for me?

I was looking at these boots for the Mirax Terrik Horn costume. Would these be acceptable? Also, I don't see a very detailed description on the costuming standards for her. Are the standards listed that simplistic? Thanks and MTFBWY.

Detailed standards with reference photos for SOME Officer costumes can be found in the Rebel Commanders forum. We're working on getting some more updated and posted.
