Great find! This is probably cheaper than what it would cost to 3D print it.

My friend spray painted the Rubie's blaster this weekend and it looks amazing! Almost ready to submit with it. Smile Thank you to everyone for all the help and suggestions. Very Happy

I was worried the end pieces were too large, as they're much bigger than the ones on my 3D printed blaster. But it seems like everyone thinks it's fine. Razz My 3D printed one has broken twice, so I'm definitely going to paint up the toy blaster and use it instead!

I got mine on Amazon for under $12. It's actually surprisingly sturdy for a toy. I am super happy with it. Smile

As my wife is just finishing her Senator Leia, I finished painting this only yesterday.

The top of each image is plain, flat black enamel. The lower image is Alclad magnesium lacquer. While Magnesium can get very black in the correct lighting, it may be too reflective in common lighting. Alclad has a gun metal, but it is very magenta. Steel may be a better choice. I'll see what options I have on hand (they're $10+/oz!) and post again at some point.

Finally gave in and got it from Walmart.

Unlike the Rubies Han Solo blaster (the blue and orange), and the Hasbro Stormtrooper blaster, the Princess Leia blaster is two molded halves glued together lengthwise, forming a solid piece. No small parts and no electronics are included, so it doesn't have fun pew pew sounds.

It's a nice addition to my Star Wars mini arsenal.

It's such a pretty design. That's totally on my list to get when I'm back in the US.

Something about military post not liking me receiving gun-shaped objects in the mail... Rolling Eyes
