So, I understand that the requirements for the flightsuits (if not the whole outfit) are in the process of being re-done. I really would like to get a start on my B and Y wing suits though. For the most part I can readjust pockets as the requirements change, so that isn't a big deal.

Readjusting collars is something more difficult, so I wanted to make sure at least about the collars. I think ROTJ Y-Wing would be either mandarin or regular collar, and B-Wing is regular. Yes?

The B-wing pilot collar is a folded collar, yes. Though the fold sits up a little higher, and there's a rectangular closure.

Thanks. And ROTJ Y-Wing can choose between the same or mandarin-like?

I think so. The Y-wing pilot flightsuits in Return of the Jedi have mandarin collars but the one in the Costumes book has a folded collar like the B-wing pilot (but with a different closure tab). I'm not sure if there were variations in the flightsuits, or if whoever dressed the mannequin in the Costumes book just happened to fold down the collar, or what it is. But there are references for both so you could probably go with either, so long as you have the correct collar closure.

Got it. The best set of references I have at the moment are in the Costumes book, so going to be staring at that quite a bit.

Thanks!

That book has the clearest pics of the collars, so go with those. Wink

It'd sure be nice if the standards reflected what was seen in the books... especially the A-wing pilots... nudge nudge... Jon...
