Doesn't look too, to be honest. The Rebel Legion doesn't endorse vendors.

Good to know, I don't know RL costumes well enough at all to know where to do for what, so any help there would be greatly appreciated.

This vendor's costumes are hit-and-miss. Some are approvable and some aren't.

This is one that is not without significant alterations. The round padded patches are shaped wrong, not long enough, and in the wrong places, especially on the legs. The rank badge holder is too big. I am also not in love with the material of the vest itself.

I also can't see the back and sides properly to tell you if that is all okay. :/ I'd advise going with another vendor if you can, or be prepared to make alterations.

The jumpsuit looks very thin/see through to me as well. I'd also advise going with a different vendor.

I looked at the other Leia costumes and went: Nope, nope, nope. Not for the Rebel Legion.
They aren't even close, so I'll also say to find another vendor if you aren't going to make it yourself.

Thank you all for chiming in, I really do appreciate it.
Any pointers as to a good place to start looking for better vendors or sources to get the required parts?

Sorry Thrawn, but I can't help you there; I make my stuff from scratch so know basically nothing about the vendors. Maybe one of the judges can help you out or another member.

Here's hoping because locally we don't have anyone with the skills needed to make something like this Crying or Very sad

I'm in the same boat. I make all my own stuff, I've never had to commission anyone.

That awesome that you guys are talented enough to make your own costumes. I'm very jealous of that.

Hi there -

I accept commissions for Hoth Leia, but I'm currently full for a bit. I've done three Hoth Leia's , and so far, one has been approved. The second was never submitted for whatever reason, and I'm working on the third. I have to fix the collar so it's closed at the top of the neck. The approved one is Princess Liz Fett's , and I have made improvements to how I make the suit since then. Sandy's should be approved once the collar issue is fixed- but I can send you a few photos of my work in progress of the patches and suit if you like.

My schedule is currently closed until at least after DragonCon, but I thought I'd put myself on your radar. If you message me about it, my pricing includes a full mock up in cotton to make sure the fit is right before proceeding to the expensive fabric.

I bought my Hoth Leia from Chloe's & is RL approved. I had to sew the collar a bit, but it's a thick cloth. I had to customize boots, buy communicator & insignia & 3D print blaster. The vest is very nice - I sewed an inner pocket for iPhone & $ - call it my Hith Pocket. I troop with some serious 501st & RL ppl & they like the costume a lot
