Hello everyone!
General debate for a new update for the KJO Detachment
Please have a look at the following costume standard proposal and post your thoughts, ideas, suggestions in this thread.
Initial discussion I'd like to set as two weeks, but I understand we may need longer, let's see how it goes
Current Standard
http://www.rebellegion.com/luke-skywalker-episode-vi-return-of-the-jedi-death-star-duel/
This proposed revision is based on the photos of Lukes ROTJ costumes on pages 130-132 of "Star Wars Costumes, The Original Trilogy" which clearly show a fly and appropriate stitching along with the "tuxedo" trim on the side seams of the legs.
REQUIRED ITEMS
1. Black long-sleeve shirt w/mandarin-type collar, with fold-over bib (w/exposeable section by right shoulder with light grey lining).
2. Black flat front tight-fitting pants with a zipper and fly and black "tuxedo" trim on the side seams.
3. Black leather belt with silver weathered octagonal buckle w/small back pouch.
4. Black equestrian-type knee-high boots.
5. Luke’s ROTJ hero lightsaber hilt.
6. Black leather wrist length right glove
7. Characters’ hair needs to be a “similar” style to that of Luke Skywalkers’- no buzz cuts or beards also.

I don't know why the flap on the shirt says grey OR white on the Jabba's Palace standards. Its clearly grey. Plus, its not visible anyway on that version.
A stripe on the pant leg shouldn't be necessary, IMO, on the Jabba's Palace version either, since you can barely make it out with both in the film and in person with the vest on, and especially with the cloak.
But on the Death Star Duel version both of those should be part of the standards, since they're more likely to be seen. _________________ "You like me because I'm a scoundrel."

Just a note: the basic costume is the same throughout the movie.
I'm not sure why we have multiple standards for it instead of one with a list of options by scene.
We have good sources for the costume now, so ignoring them doesn't make much sense to me. |
