Here is the full image for the background of the page on's article about the live blog with Dave Filoni at Celebration.

Now, if I am not mistaken, that is an A-Wing style helmet and A-Wing style chestbox. The flightsuit is a grey, however. Almost a blue-grey. With styling slightly unlike the others. Does anyone happen to know anything else about this character from anything learned at Celebration? Smile

There's been some other concept art floating about with the pilots in other color flightsuits as well. Other concept pictures have the pilot in a green flightsuit, orange and red. I'm not sure what they're going to call this pilot, whether it's an A-wing pilot or a Spearhead pilot...

It does look a lot like an A-wing pilot but there are a few differences. The chestbox is fairly different and there's no hose, the flak vest is different, and the coveralls have different pockets. Actually, it looks like the flightsuit is the same style of flightsuit worn by Imperial Combat Drivers, just without the commpad. The helmet is also a slightly different shape, it's a little thinner and pointier, and some other small details are different. The cap is really different. In the season two preview there's also one of these pilots wearing a Y-wing pilot helmet.

I have to admit that I'm getting pretty confused by Rebels. Previously, before Rebels, the A-wing and B-wing weren't developed until a little while before Return of the Jedi, but in the Rebels season two preview it shows bother A-wings and a B-wing. While the A-wing could be a Spearhead, which is basically an early model A-wing, the B-wing completely baffles me. I guess the whole idea that these ships were developed later in the war has all been thrown out the window and the Rebel Alliance now has all of these advanced ships over ten years before the original dates. I can't say that I'm really a fan of that idea, I kind of liked the idea that over time the Rebellion was able to get more funds and developed new ships of their own with better and newer technology. Now I guess all of the ships in the Rebellion are pretty old and outdated, even the A-wing and B-wing, and that the Rebellion doesn't really make all that much progress...
