Hello,

I would like to check possibility of approval "Stealth pilot" from The Clone Wars series (episode Cat and Mouse).

I know, that in whole episode, there is no full view of this character, but there is production sheet from another The Clone Wars episode, which is showing whole character:

http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/starwarsrepublicclonetroopers/images/9/9d/ARC-170_Phase_1_Pilot.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120314045216

Yes, it is not same costume ... but it same costume Wink

Clone Pilot ARC 170 is re textured "Stealth pilot" ...

So, main question is - it is possible to use Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet and re texture it to get Stealth pilot approval? Smile

For a costume to be assessed there needs to be reference pictures of the actual costume you wish to build!
There needs to be 3 official reference shots in total from head to toe.
They shots must consist of:
Full front
Full back
Full side

These help with your build and also help with the judging process before clearance.
Hope this answers your question?
Cheers
Keith

Hello Keith,

Quote:
Costumes eligible for Rebel Legion membership, that do not have written/posted costume standards must include:
1. Two or more images, head to toe, showing the front and back of the costume being created OR a 360-degree head-to-toe turnaround of the character.
2. Additional images may be included to show detail of the costume being created.
3. Resource material may come from any LFL/Disney licensed sources for the character/costume being created.
4. Additional costume details may come from a detailed text-based description, but must have an accompanying visual reference to be considered for creating a Rebel Legion approved costume.
5. For video games: Player generated/edited costumes for game characters (those that are customizable) are not eligible for consideration for Rebel Legion membership.

As RL charter say, this course qualify, I am asking, if for LCJ considering also as evidence sheets from LFL - anf it it is possible to use Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet and re texture it to get Stealth pilot approval?

Blair

I have always been of the point of view that if you like a costume. Build it

If its clearable top job if is not then we can work to make it clearable. We had mara jades cleared where there is not enought reference to it. yet they have been added to the ranks

Build a wip and work on it. And at the same time build the first rough draft of the possible future standard

if it all fails you still have an awesome clone

Hi Alan,

it is not about me ... it is about possible RL applicant ... Wink ...

And in this case, I can work with him on his costume .... BUT it will be sad if his costume will not be cleared due resources and he will not be able to get RL membership Wink

That is a reason why I am discussing this in advance ...

BUMP! Smile

So, question is still in place:

It is possible to use Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet as reference for Stealth pilot approval? Could be Stealth pilot approved with Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet as reference? Smile

As I responded to you in a pm this morning..

ANYONE who makes a costume that there is no standard for takes on a certain risk...

I copied and pasted the passages from the Charter that deal with situations of costumes that there is no standard for....
as long as the person making the costume can site that he has fulfilled all of the requirements and adds his reference material to his application, he should be good to go..

Alan is correct...
if you love it...
make it...
and
unfortunately, when it comes to costumes that have no Standard, I don't (nor do I encourage anyone else to) hand out iron clad guarantees that something is acceptable.

As we all see - this is really on edge of charter = charter quoting is not helping Smile

Those are really simple questions about resources and references.

So, there are few options:

1. Applicant will build costume with using Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet as reference for Stealth pilot - LCJ and LMO WILL accept this reference.

2. Applicant will build costume with using Clone Pilot ARC 170 sheet as reference for Stealth pilot - LCJ and LMO WILL NOT accept this reference.

For 1. = all is fine, everybody is happy ...

For 2. = applicant will be pissed of, because when he asked for opinion via his "possible/future" CO, nobody gave him answer

---
Nobody here seeking guarantees regarding approval some costume = this whole talk is about references, which are really on edge ...

Ok....since you want an answer,
I would say that my answer is no if you can not produce the required images of the re-textured character as set forth by Lucasfilm.

Thank you very much! Smile

ps: in mean time, applicant did some additional reference digging, so, looks like references will be in the end fine Very Happy
