So I used to have a purple Twi'lek, and I haven't trooped with her in two years. Because of body paint problems. So I figured since I am remaking my Jedi costume I would just take the paint of and become a tan Twi'lek.

I am asking here because this is more of a Twi'lek problem than Jedi one.

What I need...

-A way to remove my old water biased paint that is two years dry
-A way to paint natural skin tone back on to my Lekku.

What I have tried to am thinking...

-Dawn dish soap, working OK. Takes a lot of work to get off just a little bit of paint.
-Mineral Oil, its messy. Not sure if it really helps loosen the paint.

-Acrylic paint for "natural skin" tone

I don't have the budget for Reel Creations, which is why I need to get rid of the need to have to body paint every time I want to troop.

I took some green paint off my lekku to go lavender, and I think I just used a soft washcloth, warm water, and more patience than I generally ever have. You'll most likely wind up with some paint in the cracks and pits of the latex that just don't come out.

There's more helpful info on paint removal & getting lekku to match your skin tone on the Twi'lek Celebration forums Smile

I'm in the same boat, I use Ben Nye water based paints because of affordability, and it is kind of a pain to keep up with!!!

The Twi'lek Celebration forums where the first place I went. And nothing was very helpful.

I have gotten 90% of the paint off. Now I just have this weird white/grey left over cracked base all over that I now have to scrub off.
