My tailor sister in law, who I don't deserve, sewed me up a Jedi for Christmas!

What do you all think? She is going to obviously hem the legs a bit...the material is wool...heavy and hot!

Need a belt, saber and boots....any recommendations on those?

quite a few have made their belts with hardware and belts from Tandy leather. theres quite a few sources for sabers, there are a few places you can get already made sabers, there's the hasbro FX signature sabers, or you can make your own. I would suggest checking this link:
http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49590

Boots can be found all over too. ebay can sometimes turn up a gem or two. then there's equestrian boots, or you can use some costume boots available commercially. I'm no expert though Smile

these are probably the most common places i have heard for sabres

http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/
http://www.ultrasabers.com/
https://www.saberforge.com/

it also depends on what you want to do with them, are they for use or just show. do you want a generic one or a face character hilt

For the belts, pouches and boots I strongly recommend Civilized Galactic Gear. I also recommend The Custom Saber Shop if you want a truely unique saber.

These were the boots that I bought for my starkiller costume. So far pretty comfortable, been through 3 parades in these.

i bought those in brown. my very first sabre show i ripped the entire bottom of the boot off

they certainly werent made for fighting in. you could buy normal work boots and make a leather top piece to make them higher

Thanks for the leads. Will check them out. I did try my hand at sacrificing some pens in the name of feeding my new Jedi...

Oddly, the primer and the silver paint went on without issue. The gold paint, however, didn't like sticking to the primer for some reason, so had to do multiple coats.

Welcome aboard.

As for boots, I too recommend something like real work boots. We spend a lot if time on our feet at events and having real footwear, rather than costume boots that are just made for looks, helps.

There are a few odd places I like to look at online.
Boot Barn.com
Sportsmans Guide.com
Cheaper Than Dirt.com

Not all of these boots will work but sometimes you stumble across something just right.
