As the proud owner of a Dreadnaught, that's what I've been saying about the rest of ya'll for years. Wink

Both the X-Wings and new pilot costume looked awesome in the trailer. Hope some of you boys start building a "Orange 2.0" kit in time for Celebration VII.

do you guys think that they made this straight from in house or could this be a certain type of flight helmet. I really wish that drawing had more detail.Nice find still. We are getting there slowly but surely.

hey....umm....check out what i found.....

look at the profile of the helmet art, vs the profile of this motorcyle helmet.

http://www.dhgate.com/product/motorcycle-helmet-vespa-tk-style-racing-jet/168041638.html

its not a perfect match and theres the issue of the visor hing and the visor mount on the side....

The helmet comparison can be found on the RLSC Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/RebelLegionStarfighterCommand). I believe it was done by Steve Vitale "Loosetoon".

There's still a LOT of questions about this costume that need answering, I hope people don't go off half-cocked in building it then getting frustrated when conflicting info gets out. Better a "wait and see" attitude for success.

And as for the helmet ... I both like and dislike it. Seem too small to be much protection at all, but I dig the graphics. Did anyone notice that the white stripe part that has the rebel bird in it looks inset?

i noticed the shadow when i blew it up on my screen. Ive cut several custom helmets so its just another task to be done, and ive got a vinyl guy that can do all the graphics plus the aurbesh.

i was just watching Edge of Tomorrow and the RAF helicpter crewman wore a helmet with a similar profile.

What I AM very curious about is the suit, and what it looks like. I saw a full body image of a Pilot walking on a road, but I cannot tell any details.

I dont have any photo editing ability or skill, but I use Paint to invert colors to look for shadows.

the color of the suit is a lot more red than it is orange in the distant photos. I dont know, I wish I could begin to make out some details. We need another leak, or another trailer. Suits should not be a problem. From what I can tell, I dont think making the vest would be any harder than making a current X wing vest, just different. the Boots appear more like chuckalucks unless this is a modern half nylon tactical boot and we are seeing the leather bottom part of the boot. Straps appear to be a darker grey as well.

One thing to also keep in mind before anyone dives into making this costume (besides the helmet, I suppose) is that there are also two new starfighters in the movie. Besides the new X-wing, there will also be a Q-wing and an H-wing (though I may have gotten the letters mixed up). We don't yet know if different pilots will have different outfits like in Return of the Jedi, or if they just might have a different set of coveralls or just all look the same.

The new starships were mentioned in an article about the new movie, and there was a brief description about them though I can't exactly remember what the letters were. Q and H sounded familiar but I can't swear that's what they were.
