I got my vest done last night. I worked on it ALL DAY. but its done now.

Starting pockets strips, 5" strip of pockets on back, and velcro where its needed.

Thank you. With the loss of David Prowse, now its more important to finish this, since the Troopers literally introduced us to Darth Vader. I am waiting on belt dye to arrive, then I can finish up. Everything else is complete.

Sadly, we lost David Prowse. Darth Vader was my favorite Star Wars character when I was a child. I had a Darth Vader lightsaber that made sounds when you swung it in 1985/86. I used to watch the OT so many times that it wore out the videotapes, but I never knew who was under the mask until the late 1990s when I joined the Offical Star Wars Fan Club in Germany. That was the only way to get background information about the movies until I got the internet and DVDs with making of-featurettes came out. I am sad about the fact that I never had the opportunity to meet him at a Con.

I was able to meet Mr Prowse once at a con several years ago, and he walked with canes at that time. His personality was much like what you have seen i print the past few days: endearing, energetic and engaging.

on a different note I got my dye in for the belt and holster and I will attend to that this weekend. Pics soon hopefully/1

yes I forgot to post it.

12 years, 32 days. From my first post to getting it done. In that time I built something over a hundred costumes, from various franchises. Including 25 Xwings, probably ten TIE pilots, maybe 20 sets of coverall conversions, a scad of Deck Gang from BSG....yeah I am glad I finally got it done!

you know, with allllllll the costumes ive had approved in a dozen years, my photos usually pretty well suck. Im NOT real photogenic, but that and my old Tusken photo are honestly two that I like. I appreciate you say that!
