welcome!
just doing a grunt or a specific clone/unit? I completely understand where your coming from. It took me 6 months to build my Stormtrooper...and i'm still building my animated clone...and its been going on for almost 2 years, LOL
Take your time, enjoy the build, and ask questions when they arise.

Going for Commander Appo from ROTS...They guy that tells Senator Organa something to the tune of "move along please...nothing to see here...please ignore the burning Jedi temple behind me...move along..."
In retrospect, part of me wonders if I shouldn't have gone with something a little easier to start with...oh well, onward and upward!
Which animated clone are you making...Wolffe? |

I actually have a set of WCA animated clone armor that I bought from anoter member. they decided they werent going to build, so I bought it from them. But, with me already having costumes that need maintenance, and a few other projects on going...it's been slow building. I have everything i need, only have my holsters done, cod and ab done, and both arms. still alot to do, but i am making progress. |

lol...
Where clones are cool...I never desired to buy that armor..
I have TK armor that I seldom wear...
cuz "I'm too short to be a Stormtrooper"...
and..
well..
I would also be too short to be a Clonetrooper too I guess..

Temuera Morrison, the actor who played Jango Fett and the clones (that sounds like a band, eh?) is 5 foot 7. Thus, I am actually too tall to be a clone trooper!
I was thinking of getting the wife a set of armor, but she is only five foot even. I think KWs shortest set goes to 5 foot 5. KW, to his credit, is actively trying to make more armor choices for female troopers.
I would love to get the wife involved. I thought about Zam Wesell, but there already is one in the local 501st Garrison. |

I am just over 5'3" and I can assure you...all I hear when I am in TK is people saying "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?"...where that was amusing at first...it lost its charm quickly.
Also...it isn't so bad when you take a photo with a bunch of really young and short kids...
BUT if their parents and older siblings also are in the photo...I look like a dwarf...it is a bit awkward...

Thanks! The gang on the Clonetroopers online forum have really gone out of their way to help me - really been their tips and suggestions. Its also handy to have a mother in law who is an artist. I stole her paints and pastels and did a bit more, especially on the "damaged" areas...
