Event Participation:

The Rebel Legion Chile Outpost members with their friends of Argentinian Base Cruz del Sur and a selection of chilean groups of fans Fan Solo and Alianza Rebelde (invited by Rebel Legion Chile), attended the invitation by Mayor of Punta Arenas city Mr. Emilio Bocazzi to participate in the Invernadas and Carnaval de Invierno (Winter Carnival) that celebrates this city every year. Rebel Legion was the honor guest to participate in this event called “the southernest trooping in the world”

Event Diary:

Day 01:
Air travel from Santiago de Chile’s Airport to Punta Arenas’ Airport.

Arrival to hostels where Rebel Legion members and another groups members rested. Then, we met in “La Taberna” to generate bonds of friendship and make the first pre-event coordinations.

Day 02:
Meeting with Mayor Mr. Emilio Bocazzi at the Municipality Building in Punta Arenas city.
The grouping is presented in full during breakfast held with the Mayor and the elected queens for the Winter Carnival. This time it is delivered to the Mayor a testimony of gratitude from Rebel Legion Outpost Chile for the invitation.

Subsequently all members go through the streets of the city and share with people.

Day 03:

Rebels are invited to a very popular morning television program in the region called "Nuestra Mañana” (“Our Morning") from regional television channel "Pingüino TV"; there were selected different members of Rebel Legion (Chilean and Argentina bases), where they were interviewed by conductors, relating to what is Rebel Legion and what is its mission and function.

Subsequently, the Municipality invites all members to visit the historical site called Fuerte Bulnes, which is located 70 kms. from the city of Punta Arenas. This time RL members and friends, all characterized, perform different pictures with people who are visiting the place and the people who work there.

Day 04:
1st Day of Parade. With a temperature of -4°C and wind chill of -8°C, Rebel Legion escort the float of the elected queens. In this instance, Rebel Legion and friends, shared with the people who attended this event. On this first day the counted attendance is 20,000 people.

Day 05:
2nd Day of Parade. At this time, the parade was made over snowfall during the day. The temperature is lower than the previous day, but the enthusiasm and professionalism of Rebel Legion is unique.
Are 25,000 attendees, who after the parade heading to the Strait of Magellan to see the fireworks closing the Carnival.

Day 06:
Touring Punta Arenas city.
Return to Santiago city.

The event had a high impact in the local media of the city, with extensive coverage (as The Daily Magellan and The Penguin and Penguin TV television channel)

Finally, make sure to take the group photos, which shows once again joining forces all local clubs and legions of Star Wars can achieve goals that are related to these groups.
 
I want to thank the management of a specific person, which without help, efforts and the heart of a true rebel, this event would not have been made. Thanks Ricardo Navarrete Silva (Navri Sisan) and the Municipality of Punta Arenas, which welcomed us as heroes. We have certainly made a pleasant and nice memory because for mayor's own words: "2015 we will see us rebels!"
